Political Science Honors
A student with a GPA in upper level or 2000, 3000 and 4000 level Political Science classes of 3.8 or higher at the end of the semester prior to graduation automatically receives honor in the major.
A student whose GPA in upper level Political Science classes is between 3.5 and 3.8 at the end of the semester prior to graduation can receive honors by writing a paper approved for honors by two members of the Political Science faculty. The paper is usually written in PSC 3192W.
The GPA in upper level PSC classes is calculated using only PSC upper level or 2000, 3000 and 4000 level classes with no substitution classes and no transfer classes.
The designation of Honors appears on the student's transcript, not on the diploma.
