Five-Year Degree Options for Political Science Majors

The Political Science Department offers options that afford students the opportunity to receive a B.A. in Political Science and a related Master's degree in only five years.

You may receive a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Political Science, or you may receive a B.A. in Political Science (with emphasis in Public Policy) and a Master of Public Policy, or you may receive a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Professional Studies in Legislative Affairs, or you may receive a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration.

These programs are selective. Applications are accepted only after a student has completed 60 credit hours at GW. Consult the undergraduate Political Science Department advisor if you are interested.
