Background
Professor Finnemore's research focuses on global governance and international organizations. Her most recent book, Rules for the World: International Organizations in Global Politics, (coauthored with Michael Barnett) won the International Studies Association prize for best book in 2006. She has also written National Interests in International Society, The Purpose of Intervention, which won the 2004 Woodrow Wilson Prize, and scholarly articles appearing in International Organization, World Politics, Review of International Studies, and elsewhere.
