Associate Editor Position Announcement Policy Perspectives is currently accepting applications for a limited number of Associate Editor positions. As integral members of the journal’s editorial staff, students in these positions work closely with authors, and the Co-Editors to refine and polish accepted article submissions, manage the subject review process, and prepare the articles for publication. Associate editors serve for one academic year and are responsible for editing 1-2 articles during that time frame. These positions are unpaid and provide no tuition reimbursement. Any GWU public administration or public policy student – full or part-time – interested in becoming an Associate Editor is encouraged to submit an application. Associate editors, who work directly with one or two authors throughout the editing process, have primary responsibility for helping their authors refine the article’s topic, develop a narrative, focus on innovative and/or practical information, and encourage a livelier and more engaging writing style while ensuring grammatical accuracy. In addition, Associate Editors are responsible for conducting fact checks as well as verifying citations and reference information for those articles. If you are interested in applying, please submit the following materials on or by September 25, 2007:
Interested students should deliver or mail three hard copies of their application package by 6 pm on September 25, 2007 to the following address: Co-Editors, Policy Perspectives We will respond to all applicants once we have made our selections. Please e-mail any questions to Christine Brown at cbrown@gwu.edu or Eva DuGoff at edugoff@gwu.edu. Alternatively, you can e-mail the journal at polpersp@gwu.edu.
