Summer Resident & Intern Parking
Summer residents and interns residing at The George Washington University residence halls may purchase a monthly permit that will enable them to park on a 24-hour, overnight basis.
- Cost of the Monthly Permit: $240 per calendar month (monthly permit will be prorated when necessary at $12.00 per day).
- Acceptable forms of Payment: Cash, Money Order, Traveler’s Check, and Cashier’s Check.
- Parking Office Hours of Operation: 8:00am-5:00p.m. Weekdays (See Special Hours of Operation below).
- Additional Information: Complete an online parking application by clicking on the button to the right "Online Application Form" and bring a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and courtesy Gworld Card to the Parking Office to finalize the parking process. Permits will not be issued through the mail.
Special Hours of Operation
The University Parking Office will be open for extended hours on Sunday, May 24, 2009 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Monday, July 6, 2009 from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. In observance of the Federal Holidays, the Parking Office will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2009, and Friday, July 3, 2009. On the days the Parking Office is closed, parking locations for Summer Residents and Interns will be fully operational. The Parking Office is located at 2211 H Street, NW (H Street side of the University Parking Garage). The Parking Office telephone number is 202-994-PARK (7275).
Conference Group Parking
Conference Group Parking Request should be submitted in writing. Please send your request to parking@gwu.edu. A response to your request will be handled within 24 hours.
The University does not have space to accommodate buses, large recreational vehicles or trailers on Campus. Please contact Union Station Bus Parking at 202-898-1950.
Accommodation and Height Clearance
Standard size vans or trucks can be accommodated as long as the entire vehicle will clear 6'5”. The University will try to accommodate all established parking arrangements, however parkers are not guaranteed a space.
