Bio:

A mother of two children, Lisa was born in Los Angeles, California. She was adopted by a military family that later settled in Missouri. After serving four years in the United States Navy, she attended Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County full-time, attaining a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

For several years following the attainment of her B.A., Lisa has worked in a number of Human Resources Professional positions. She has worked for Lafarge North America, the Federal Judicial Center, and ManTech International.

Some of Lisa’s interests include leadership development, women’s self-empowerment, and adoptee rights. Others include political/community action and development. When Lisa completes her M.A., she plans to become actively involved in her local school system as an advocate, with the prevention of AIDS and HIV and developing programs to facilitate single women with children’s success via support networks.
