Clay Warren, Ph.D.

Chauncey M. Depew Professor of Communication ,
at The George Washington University

Professor Warren has scholarly interests in interpersonal and health communication, persuasion, and philosophies of learning. An interdisciplinary writer, he has published several books and numerous articles in various journals of communication and related fields. His "creative" publication credits include the genres of the novel, short story, and poetry, highlighted by a literary novel published in Hungary. Warren also assists the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense in its process of military education review, and provides Witness Training Programs to senior-level executives across North America. Prior to GW, he served as a faculty member in Nova Scotia, Denmark, and Hawaii. The range and depth of his background is evident in his multidisciplinary approach to education. Dr. Warren earned his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy.
