My research group is currently exploring the use of new technologies for the purposes of employee recruitment, training, and development. We seek to answer questions such as: who benefits most from these innovations? under what conditions? to what end? Our current projects are described below.
Social Networks for Telecommuters: What are the ways, ICT or non-ICT, that teleworkers stay connected professionally and interpersonally to the members of their organizations? How effective are these tools and strategies?
Recruitment and Selection in Virtual Worlds: What are the benefits to the use of immersive virtual worlds for employee recruitment? How are these organizations viewed by candidates? What information can be learned using this medium that cannot be acquired in other ways?
Learner-controlled Training: How do training program features, such as customization and flexibility, affect learner experiences?
