Enriching the Neighborhood

Eateries, cafes, pubs, and shops. Gathering places, indoors and out, both on the GW campus and off. Forums for artistic performances, lectures, and activities all offered in Foggy Bottom, all available because of the unique makeup of the GW neighborhood.

Foggy Bottom has proved time and again to be an area offering great cultural and social richness to its residents—from the wares of local merchants and restaurateurs, to the events of Lisner Auditorium and the Kennedy Center. Foggy Bottom is also a place where neighbors, students, faculty, and staff can relax and enjoy themselves while taking in the expansive green space of the University Yard, the tranquility of pocket parks, and the fresh-air excitement throughout Kogan Plaza.
