A leading resource for policy makers and practitioners, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy addresses issues involving the use, regulation, and taxation of land. The Lincoln Institute seeks to improve the dialogue about urban development, the built environment and tax policy in the United States and abroad. Through research, training, conferences, demonstration projects, publications and multimedia, the Lincoln Institute provides the highest quality, nonpartisan analysis and evaluation for today's regulatory, planning and policy decisions.

The George Washington Institute of Public Policy (GWIPP) serves as a University-wide center for faculty and graduate students engaging in research on important public policy issues. GWIPP assists University faculty in preparing research proposals and budgets, as well as managing funded public policy projects. GWIPP staff, associate faculty and graduate students pursue a wide range of public policy research projects and the institute sponsors the Policy Research Scholars Program that provides support for faculty scholars writing proposals. GWIPP also sponsors a series of events, including public policy research methods workshops, brown-bag lunch discussions amongst Policy Research Scholars, and other talks and conferences. The Center for Washington Area Studies (CWAS) and the State and Local Fiscal Policy Research Program (SLFP) are housed within GWIPP.
