Since it began in 1993, The George Washington University's Inaugural Ball has become one of the most popular political traditions at the University. Billed as the "Unofficial Youth Ball" of Washington, D.C., the black-tie invited event, hosted by President Steven Knapp, draws thousands of students and community members to celebrate the inauguration of the newly elected president and vice president of the United States.
