Updated Statement From GW President Steven Knapp
Regarding Swastika Incident

I regret having to report that, in what appears to be an expression of hatred directed against our Jewish students, an unknown person or persons have drawn the figure of a swastika on the doors of an undergraduate student.  The university is investigating.

Once again, as I said three weeks ago when fliers purporting to express hatred of Muslims appeared on our campus, there is no place for such things at this or any other university.  We do not condone, and we will not tolerate, the posting of images or texts that vilify any religious, ethnic, or racial group. I remain confident that such acts do not represent the sentiments of our student body.
