About the Building: The new Media and Public Affairs Building, which hosts CNN
s Crossfire, houses the School of Media and Public Affairs and related undergraduate and graduate programs including, public policy, telecommunications, political management, and public administration. This $27-million state-of-the-art facility also houses a teleconferencing venue; exhibition, storage, and office space for the University Art Gallery; a parking garage; and the 250-seat Jack Morton Auditorium. Among the events and faces to visit the MPA Building already are CNN’s “Crossfire,” Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-CT), CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Israeli President Moshe Katsav, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, CBS’s Bob Schiefer, and AOL vice chairman and Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis.
