Management Professor Tom Cole Elected to Congress
Tom Cole, an adjunct professor in The George Washington University
Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM), has turned
his teachings into action as he won Oklahomas 4th congressional
seat, which was previously occupied by Republican Conference
Chairman J.C. Watts, who did not run for re-election. Cole,
a Republican, served at GSPM as the Fahrenkopf/Manatt
Professorial Lecturer for a class entitled Political
Parties and Politics.READ

Trachtenberg Proposes Trimester System for GW
In
a policy address to a faculty assembly, University President
Stephen Joel Trachtenberg proposed that the GW calendar year
shift to 14-week trimesters. He called for the establishment
of a working group comprising faculty, staff, trustees, and
students to examine the implications of such a system and
report results by May 1, 2003.
