GW Receives $1.7 Million Grant from Howard Hughes Medical
Institute
The award will support the Universitys undergraduate
biological sciences programs in innovative areas such as bioinformatics
and computational molecular biology as well as a new partnership
with the Institute for Genomic Research. GW is one of only
44 research universities to be awarded the grant and is also
one of only four institutions that are first-time recipients.
