Colonials Win A-10 Tournament, Advance to NCAA's

Powered by three home runs in three games by Mike Bassett, right, the GW baseball team beat nationally-ranked Richmond on Saturday to qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 10 years. This will be the seventh time in school history the Colonials will have a chance to advance to the College World Series. The team will play Wake Forest (44-11-1) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this Friday in a 7 p.m. game in Winston-Salem, NC. Read

GW Launches D.C. Home Program for Employees

GW has teamed with Riggs Bank, Fannie Mae, the nation’s largest source of financing for home mortgages, and the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency to launch the “GW Home Program,” a new benefit that will provide eligible faculty and staff the opportunity to apply for down payment and/or closing cost assistance towards the purchase of a primary residence in the District of Columbia.
