University Christens New Data Center
GW's new Data Center officially opened at
the Virginia Campus. The new facility features advanced hardware
and a network operations center to monitor all systems
and services on the Foggy Bottom and Virginia campuses, making
GW one of the few higher education institutions on the East
Coast with redundant data centers. READ

GW Dedicates Arch in Honor of First D.C. Mayor
The Walter E. Washington Memorial Arch was
dedicated in honor of D.C.'s first mayor. Washington's widow,
Mary Burke Washington, joined University President Stephen
Joel Trachtenberg and D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams at the memorial,
located on the Eye Street side of the Marvin Center.
