University Christens New Data Center

GW's new Data Center officially opened Tuesday at the Virginia Campus. The new facility features advanced hardware and a network operations center to monitor all systems and services on the Foggy Bottom and Virginia campuses, making GW one of the few higher education institutions on the East Coast with redundant data centers. Walter Washington Arch

GW Dedicates Arch in Honor of First D.C. Mayor

The Walter E. Washington Memorial Arch was dedicated Thursday morning in honor of D.C.'s first mayor. Washington's widow, Mary Burke Washington, joined University President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg and D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams at the memorial, located on the Eye Street side of the Marvin Center.

First GW-Battleground Poll Released, Shows Sharply Divided Electorate

The George Washington University Battleground 2004 Poll shows an intensely polarized electorate. 48 percent of voters feel President George W. Bush deserves re-election and 49 percent feel it is time for a new person to be elected to the White House.  READ
