GW Dedicates Arch in Honor of First D.C. Mayor
The Walter E. Washington Memorial Arch was
dedicated Thursday morning in honor of D.C.'s first mayor.
Washington's widow, Mary Burke Washington, joined University
President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg and D.C. Mayor Anthony
Williams at the memorial, located on the Eye Street side of
the Marvin Center.
