School Without Walls student Andre Lindsey, pictured far right, was among 10 academically talented D.C. public high school students awarded the annual Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholarships on Wednesday. These full, four-year scholarships are worth $180,000. READ

Kerry and Dean Hold Rally at GW

Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) returned to GW for his second visit in eight days, this time for a rally with former Vermont Governor Howard Dean at Kogan Plaza with more than 2,000 people.

SMPA Reorganization Moves to Next Phase

GW's School of Media and Public Affairs will undergo a reorganization, following a blueprint for academic excellence recommended by a task force of media executives, prominent journalists, political experts and GW faculty. An implementation committee will develop a plan for integrating undergraduate curriculum, centralizing administration and maximizing existing production and research facilities. READ

Zoning Commission Approves New Residence Hall

The D.C. Zoning Commission approved the University’s plan for a 379-bed residence hall next to 2025 F St. that will help GW increase the number of on-campus beds as outlined in the University’s campus plan. READ
