The University opened a new front door to its Internet presence this week as www.gwu.edu was released in the second phase of a three-step strategic Web plan. Organization of the site changed from department names to topics, including living, learning, computing and working. READ

GW/NASA Researchers Discover a New Member in Exotic Class of Neutron Stars

Researchers from GW and NASA discovered the first transient magnetar, a neutron star previously too faint to be detected that recently increased dramatically in brightness.  The finding may ultimately fill in important gaps in neutron star evolution and magnetar identification. READ
