housing Townhouse Row Sept. 4. With its traditional-style
facades and brick and stone construction, the eight attached
student housing units along 23rd Street between F and G streets,
seamlessly blends in with its historical Foggy Bottom surroundings.

GW Prepares for New Academic Year
Students, faculty
members, staff and parents are getting set for the
2003-04 academic year. With welcome events planned and prominent
visitors such as Secretary of State Colin Powell, former Vice
President Al Gore, businessmen Sumner Redstone and Warren
Buffett, and entertainers Whoopi Goldberg and the Beach Boys
scheduled for the fall semester, GW steps into the new academic
year on strong footing.

current, and one returning, GW administrators took on new
roles at the University as a result of reorganizations in
the offices of academic affairs and student and academic support
services, coupled with a departure and a shift in responsibility

China, Atlantic 10 Turn to Trachtenberg
A testament to the broad range of his interests
and expertise as an educational leader, President Stephen
Joel Trachtenberg was invited to serve on the board of the
Chiang Industrial Charity Foundation in Hong Kong and was
elected president of the Atlantic 10 Athletic Conferences
