1. The annual GWU NROTC Fall Regatta is fast approaching, and this year
it will once again be held over the Columbus Day
Weekend, 06-07 October 2007.
Our goal is to
complete all sailing competition on Saturday with
Sunday, 07 October, as a rain date.
Our Unit is organizing tourist and sightseeing
events for Sunday in Washington DC including the awards
ceremony to be held at a location to be determined that
afternoon.
2. The competition will consist of both team and individual racing
events. Each
Unit is eligible to send multiple teams, each consisting
of four racers.
Since we have spots for a limited number of
teams, it is necessary that you register soon!
There will be a registration fee of $200.00 per
team to be collected upon your arrival at the Unit on
06 October or via snail mail.
This fee is non-refundable after 27 September.
In addition, there will be a fee of $15.00 per
person for non-racers.
Please do not let the fee discourage non-racers
from coming.
We enjoy hosting Mids and the camaraderie that it
builds.

As in previous years, housing for Midshipmen will
be provided.
Rooms for the OICs are available at: Fort Belvoir
BOQ (703.805.2333), Fort Meyers BOQ (703.696.3576),
Bolling AFB BOQ (202.767.5316), or other local hotels.
Weekend events will include a night out in DC on
Saturday the 6th.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the
Marina on the 6th, and the 7th, if
necessary.
4. The
GWU NROTC Sailing Department looks forward to hosting
this event every year, and we intend to make this year’s
regatta a memorable one.
In order to aide in our preparation, please note
that all entries must be received by 27 September.
