Local
military resources. All Navy activities and
personnel in our area are subordinate to Naval District
Washington (NDW). There are numerous military
bases, landmarks, and units in the area.

Military housing. Washington, DC
is not considered a critical housing area and government
housing is available throughout the region. The normal waiting list
time for government units is about two to twelve months. Presently, the vast
majority of our MECEPs live off-base in civilian housing
