AS in Health Sciences


Service members often find the prospect of obtaining their college education a bit daunting, especially if they have minimal college experience. The Hospital Corpsmen will be surprised to discover that they are already well on their way. With 42 hours awarded for completion of the IDC "C" school, 12 hours of general education and 2 additional courses the member can earn an Associate degree.

 
Degree Summary

The degree is a 60 hour program consisting of 12 hours of general education, 42 hours of advanced standing (from "C" school credits) and electives, and 6 hours of GW coursework. For a detailed overview of the degree requirements for the AS in Health Sciences degree, follow this link.
 
Admission Requirements


To be considered for admission, applicants must be on have completed IDC "C" school.

Tuition and Fees


Tuition and fees for the AS in Health Sciences program for the academic year 2006-2007 are:

  • Tuition – $297.00 per credit hour
  • Registration Fee – $35.00 per semester
  • Application Fee – $60.00 (one time fee submitted with application, waived for a graduate of another GW degree program).
  • Graduation Fee – $100.00 (payable on graduation)

The George Washington University accepts military tuition assistance and veteran's benefits.
