Professor White shares her love of music with her students at George Washington University and in her private studio in Arlington, Virginia. Her students have gone on to win several international competitions, such as the Metropolitan Opera Regional Auditions and the Pavarotti International Competition, and sing leading roles and in the choruses of opera houses in the US and abroad. As a soloist, her repertoire touches over five centuries and includes seven languages. Prof. Whiteís performances range from Bach with the Marlboro Bach Festival to contemporary music at the Terrace Theater of the Kennedy Center. Some of her most rewarding musical events have been with her husband, Richard, and his colleagues from the National Symphony Orchestra, where he formerly was Solo English Horn. Prof. White joined the GWU voice faculty in 1970.
