Carole Libelo, Oboist, is the Assistant Principal Oboe and Solo English Horn of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra. As a member of this orchestra, Ms. Libelo performs for the Washington National Opera (formerly The Washington Opera) as well as for guest ballet companies, Kennedy Center Productions, musicals, educational concerts, and the Millennium Stage Concert Series. She has performed with many other groups in the Washington area, including the National Symphony Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Libelo has been featured as a soloist with the National Gallery of Art Orchestra and the Virginia Chamber Orchestra, and she was a founding member of the National Gallery of Art Chamber Players.  She has been a member of the faculty of St. Mary’s College in Maryland. Ms. Libelo holds a Masters of Music Degree from New England Conservatory of Music, where she was a student of Alfred Genovese.
