University Singers
Conducted by Gisele Becker,University Singers is a mixed choir of
approximately 50 GW undergrads and graduate students. The group has a
three-concert season, performing both on campus at Lisner Auditorium, and
off campus at various churches. Repertoire for this year include: A Sea Symphony composed by Howard Hanson; Byrd and the B's, Music of Byrd, Brahms, Bach, Britten, Barber and Beethoven.As well as an event at the Washington National Cathedral. The Singers rehearse three
times a week; Mondays from 5:30-7 and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 12:45-2 in
B120 of Phillips Hall. Auditions consist of vocalising, pitch matching and
sightreading. No prepared solo is necessary. For further information,
