Directed by Peter Fraize and staff, Jazz Combo concentrates on small group jazz from the 1940s to 1960s, focusing on such artists a Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis and Art Blakey. The instrumentation consists of a rhythm section and a small number of horns players. The group performs several times each semester and hosts one of the Friday Jam sessions.
