The new distance education Certificate in Museum Collections Management and Care features four graduate-level courses designed for those working or volunteering in U.S. museums with collections management responsibilities and either lacking prior formal museum studies training or desiring a refresher. Students complete the four 3-credit courses totally online (1 course per semester) during a period of one year.
Estimated course costs will be approximately $1,671 per 3-credit course.
On-line applicants must apply specifically for the Museum Collections Management and Care Certificate (Distance Education).
Museum Studies now offers four classes in Collections Management and Care, taught by many of the George Washington University's professors as well as experts in the museum field.
Designed for those working or volunteering in museums, but unable to attend a formal museum studies program, Museum Studies offers its Distance Education completely online.
Students completing all four courses will receive a graduate certificate in Museum Collections Management and Care from the George Washington University.
