Professor
Logsdon was the first holder of the Chair in Space History of the National Air
and Space Museum. He is author of The Decision to Go to the Moon: Project
Apollo and the National Interest (1970), general editor of the multi-volume
series Exploring the Unknown: Selected Documents in the Evolution of the
U.S. Civilian Space Program, and editor of Eye in the Sky: The Story of
the Corona Spy Satellites (1998). He appears frequently in broadcast and print interviews commenting on space issues.
