Amb. Karl Inderfurth
Professor of Practice of International Affairs

Amb. Inderfurth has served in several capacities at the US Department of State, including Deputy US Representative to the UN Security Council, US Representative for Special Political Affairs to the UN, and as Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs.

Amb. Edward "Skip" Gnehm
J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of International Affairs

Amb. Gnhem was the U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Kuwait and Australia and raised the American flag over the U.S. embassy after the liberation of Kuwait in 1991. Gnehm joined the U.S. Department of State in 1969 and has forged a long and distinguished diplomatic career. He is a member of the Senior Foreign Service and holds the rank of Career Minister. He has served as director general of the Foreign Service and director of personnel for the Department of State; deputy permanent representative of the United States to the United Nations; deputy assistant secretary of state, Bureau of Near East and South Asian Affairs; deputy assistant secretary of defense for Near East and South Asia; deputy chief of mission, American Embassy, Amman, Jordan, and Embassy Sanaa, Yemen; head of the U.S. Liaison Office, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and deputy principal officer, U.S. Interests Section, Damascus, Syria. He also served as ambassador to Kuwait during the Gulf War in 1991.

Leon Fuerth is the former national security adviser to Vice President Al Gore.

Henry Nau
Professor of Political Science and International Affairs
Professor Nau teaches an undergraduate course in international politics and graduate courses in US foreign policy, US foreign economic policy, international political economy, and science, technology and public policy.
