Background:
This
occasion marks the second GW Farmers Market this semester. The market is planned and organized by
the GW Farmers Market Association.
Fruits, vegetables, baked goods and handmade crafts from more than 20
vendors will be featured.
The
GW Farmers Market Association was formed and is managed by GW senior Joshua
Singer with the goal of bringing market goods to campus. The association’s motto is “Building
Community Through Food.” The group
hopes to host frequent farmers markets at GW for the benefit of the
community.
