Background:
What
appears to be a one legged wooden man folded into a box, by Amanda Davies, and a
blue ceramic sculpture with metallic car paint of a whimsical genie, by Liz
Duarte, are two examples of the works which will be on display at the Dimock
Gallery and MoVe Gallery’s 2nd
Annual Student Show. This
exhibition features approximately 60 works in a variety of media, such as
ceramics, design, drawing, photography, painting, and printmaking. Of the 40 artists, around 50 pieces are
displayed at the Dimock Gallery, and about 10 pieces are exhibited at the MoVe
Gallery. All students were welcome
to enter up to two pieces to have their work displayed at either gallery. The 2nd Annual Student Show will
offer an opportunity for talented GW students to display their accomplishments
through their study of art. Many
works displayed will be available to purchase.
