PANEL OF POLITICAL EXPERTS TO FORECAST
BATTLE FOR CONGRESS AT GW CAPITOL HILL EVENT
OCTOBER 21

WASHINGTON – The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) will host a Capitol Hill panel of political professionals to predict the outcome of the upcoming electoral battle for control of the U.S. Congress.

The event will be held Monday, October 21 at 12:00 p.m. in room B-369 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

“The panel draws from the best in the business of professional politics with speakers who often foretell the outcome of many electoral races,” said GSPM Dean Christopher Arterton.

Confirmed speakers include Jack Oliver, deputy chairman of the Republican National Committee; Ed Goeas, president and CEO of the Tarrance Group; Mark Mellman, president and CEO of the Mellman Group; Rhodes Cook, president of the Rhodes Cook Letter; and Ron Faucheux, editor-in-chief of Campaigns and Elections magazine.

“These panels give us a picture into the world of political wars without any fear of bloodshed in a spirited debate over the electoral struggle to control the U.S. Congress,” continued Dean Arterton.

A luncheon reception will follow the panel for congressional staffers, members of the media, students, panel participants and attendees.

The Graduate School of Political Management of The George Washington University is the nation’s premier school of professional politics. Hailed by The New York Times as “the West Point of the political wars,” the school is at the forefront of establishing the foundation for long-term solutions to the problems of American democracy by advancing both the professional expertise of those in politics and the analytical science of democratic politics.
