Background:
Richard C.
Hottelet was 26 when he joined CBS News in 1944. He remained with the network
for 41 years. He also worked for United Press and was the only American
journalist arrested by the Nazis and held until his release in a prisoner
exchange. Hottelet will discuss his years as one of the revered “Murrow Boys”
during an evening of conversation and recordings of historic radio
broadcasts.
This
event takes place in conjunction with a fine art photo exhibition, America
Through the CBS Eye, on view through October 18 in GW’s Luther W. Brady Art
Gallery, 805 21st Street, NW, 2nd Floor, Tuesday – Friday,
