GW’S DIMOCK GALLERY PRESENTS
“SUMMER CERAMICS, SOME ARE OTHERS,”
RECENT WORKS BY MFA CANDIDATES IN PAINTING AND CERAMICS SEPTEMBER 25 – OCTOBER 18
GW graduate students studying ceramics explore the aesthetic and technical demands of their medium and grapple with complex issues of artistic conception. The result is an excellent selection of paintings, and an array of ceramic art that deals with installation and architectural approaches to working in clay, mosaic design and application techniques, traditional and contemporary pottery forms, and mixed media. The works reflect the diverse styles and backgrounds of the students involved. Ceramic work was produced under the direction of Professor Turker Ozdogan, and paintings were produced under Professors Thom Brown, William Woodward and Frank Wright. All works will be for sale.
For further information on works in the exhibit, please contact Jenna McCracken, logistics coordinator of the ceramics program at either (202) 994-9059 or email@example.com. For more information about Dimock Gallery, please call Lenore Miller at (202) 994-1525.
