GW CLIMATE ACTION CONFERENCE JOINS
BUSINESS, ACADEMIA AND GOVERNMENT IN EXPLORATION OF GLOBAL-TO-LOCAL APPROACHES TO MANAGING CLIMATE CHANGE

Conference Kicks Off on Earth Day

Beginning Earth Day, experts from policy, energy science, health, education, economics, food and water, business, management and design will gather during GW's Third Annual Climate Action Conference to explore topics central to mitigating the causes of climate change.

BACKGROUND:  

With the theme "Managing for Climate Change: Global to Local Approaches," GW's Third Annual Climate Action Conference will encourage climate-related action and energy conservation efforts and explore climate change-related opportunities, issues, policies and the local and international effects of an ever-warming world. Co-hosted by GW's Department of Strategic Management and Public Policy and the Institute for Corporate Responsibility's Environmental Sustainability Program, the two-day conference will take a multi-disciplinary approach to identifying global to local approaches to managing climate change.  Topics will include climate policy, green business, renewable energy innovations and global food and water security.
