Nearly 250 senior citizens from across the District partake in the festivities. Students and seniors leave each year with a renewed appreciation for the positive impact each group has in the city. This year's theme is "A Celebration of The District" and will allow students to form an even more meaningful connection with seniors.

The George Washington University's Neighbors Project and Office of Community Service are committed to creating service and experiential service-learning opportunities that develop civic-minded and engaged students to address unmet needs in the Washington, D.C., community. In collaboration with University and community partners, the Neighbors Project serves, educates and promotes social justice in an accessible and consistent way while promoting diversity, developing leadership and fostering life-long learning.
