GW Celebrates Earth Week
APRIL 15-24, 2009
EVENT:
From planting trees around campus to the Accelerating Greenhouse Gas Reduction Symposium, GW's Earth Week has an event fit for all students, faculty, staff and neighbors interested in protecting the earth's resources.
On Earth Day, April 22, 2009, GW will host the Earth Day Fair. At the event, GW President Steven Knapp will release the results of the University's greenhouse gas inventory, which will be followed by the Real Food Cookout. The cookout features a sustainable lunch for members of the GW community.
Earth Week events aim to generate awareness, create community around sustainability and empower people to take action.
