LOUDOUN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TAKE PART IN GW VIRGINIA CAMPUS' THIRD ANNUAL SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING DAY

More than 140 Loudoun County high school students and teachers will participate in the GW Virginia Campus' third annual Science, Technology and Engineering Day.

BACKGROUND:
GW faculty members and graduate students will lead students through ten workshops designed to showcase various engineering, science or technology careers. Students can choose among 10 interactive sessions, including how to build a 20-foot modular bridge or program a robot. They will have the opportunity to create an electrical circuit; learn how BlueTooth and other wireless communications work; track hackers breaking into a computer system; learn how technology has changed the field of nursing; and explore supercomputing, from Sony PlayStation 3 to Earth Simulators.
