The two Hog Island sheep given to the Knapps serve as yet another reminder of the connection between The George Washington University and its namesake. The event will include opportunities to learn more about Hog Island sheep and George Washington's Mount Vernon estate, as well as a visit from "General and Mrs. Washington" and other family-friendly activities.

The Vern Express, a free shuttle service connecting the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses, will offer departures every five to 10 minutes from both campuses throughout this event.  Complete information about The Vern Express is available online at http://gwired.gwu.edu/mvcl/Express/.

The George Washington University will celebrate the inauguration of Steven Knapp as GW's 16th president Nov. 12 to Nov. 17. The week-long series of events will celebrate GW history and its vision, as well as the inauguration of President Steven Knapp on Nov. 16.
