Virginia Governor Tim Kaine Addresses College Democrats of

America National Convention at GW

The College Democrats of America celebrated their 50th annual convention in a place aptly known for its political culture--The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26.

During Saturday morning's opening session, Democratic National Convention Chairman Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia addressed conference attendees. His remarks focused on taking the Democratic National Convention to new heights and working with Organizing for America to advocate for the president's agenda. Additionally, Gov. Kaine highlighted that college students are integral to the process and the ways they can become involved.

In marking the half-century anniversary, the event included training sessions, speakers, student networking opportunities and interactions with democratic leaders.
