GREEN OPPORTUNITIES SPRING UP AT GW'S ANNUAL CAREER FAIR
The Spring Career Fair has gone green! The George Washington University's Career Center announces that it will partner with the University's Office of Sustainability and CarbonFund.org in an effort to make the annual fair a climate neutral event.
To further the center's commitment of proactively engaging in creative partnerships with employers and preparing students for sustainability opportunities, the Career Center will use an online version of the Spring Career Fair Employer Directory, coordinate environmentally friendly food and packaging for lunch, and buy offsets through CarbonFund.org. The fair organizers also will recycle, reuse, and donate waste produced at the event.
The event will take place Wednesday, March 4, 2009, from 1 - 5 p.m. in the Marvin Center Continental and Grand ballrooms. Students and alumni may RSVP and submit their resume to employers at www.gwork.gwu.edu.
