·             Harry Harding, dean of GW's Elliott School, was interviewed by the BBC World Service (radio) about the Chinese President Jiang Zemin’s upcoming trip to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. 

·             The New York Times and Agence France-Presse covered Venezuelan Ambassador Luis Herrara Marcano's appearance on campus for a symposium hosted by GW's Center for Latin American Studies. 

·             Jeffrey Rosen, associate professor of law, was interviewed on NPR's "Fresh Air" about using the Internet to profile terrorists. 

·             Lawrence Mitchell, professor of law, was interviewed on NPR's "All Things Considered" and quoted in Business Review Weekly (Australia) about corporate accounting and stock option packages. 

·             Dr. Arthur Frank, director of GW's Weight Management Center, was interviewed by The Washington Post about insurance companies paying for the treatment of obesity.  

·             Dr. Farid Gharagozloo, chief of cardiothoracic surgery, was quoted in The Washington Post about returning to work after bypass surgery. 

·             Dr. Raul Mandler, professor of neurology, was interviewed on WTTG-TV (Channel 5) regarding Lou Gehrig's disease and an antibiotic that targets a specific protein, which may help patients live longer. 

·             Dr. John Pan, of GW's Center for Integrative Medicine, was featured on WB 54 News (Baltimore) and Fox 4 News (Dallas/Fort Worth) about integrative treatment. 

·             Darryl Jenkins, director of GW's Aviation Institute, was quoted in The Baltimore Sun about US Airways less than expected first quarter losses. 

·             Jonathan Turley, professor of law, was interviewed on CNBC's "Business Center" about the Arthur Andersen case and was also quoted in The San Diego Union-Tribune President Bush's order to set up military tribunals.
