Elliott School's David Shambaugh, professor of
political science and international affairs and director of the China Policy
China Policy Program, had an op-ed published in The Washington Post,
titled "From the White House, All ZigZags Lead to
China."
·
GW sport and tourism management students were interviewed
live by WRC-TV's (Channel 4) at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City about their
research and activities while at the Games for their course, "2002 Winter
Olympic Experience in Salt Lake City, Utah: Behind the Scenes." Lisa Delpy
Neirotti, associate professor of sport and tourism management, led the
delegation of students.

Neirotti was also quoted in The Washington Post
about metropolitan Washington D.C.'s campaign to host the 2012 Summer Olympic
Games.

Elliott's School's David Shinn was interviewed about
Somalia by the BBC. Shinn was also
interviewed on Voice of America-TV's “Campaign Against Terrorism” program. The program is disseminated worldwide
but aimed particularly for the developing world.

Elliott School's Kirk Larsen, associate professor of
international affairs, was interviewed on MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris
Matthews."
·
Dr. Susan Bennett, professor of cardiology, was featured on
WTTG-TV's (Channel 5) "High Tech Health segment" on how heart disease affects
women, as well as some clinical trials that are
underway.
·
Dr. Arthur Frank, director of GW's Weight Management
Program, was interviewed on WTTG-TV (Channel 5) regarding diet and
exercise.
·
Dr. Stanley Greenspan, clinical professor of psychiatry and
pediatrics, discussed childcare in America on NPR's "Talk of the
Nation."
