Massachusetts Gov. Jane M. Swift has nominated Ronald B. Ingemie, JD ’73, to be clerk-magistrate in the Fitchburg District Court. Ingemie is noted for long service to the city, having served on the Fitchburg City Council from 1983 to 1997 and having twice served as acting mayor.

During her time at the Law School, Kerry Ruttenberg, JD ’99, spent two years participating in the domestic violence clinic at GW. Now a third-year associate in the Washington law firm of King & Spalding, Ruttenberg approached her bosses about founding a domestic violence program at the firm. She got the approval, and just months since its inception, four partners and some 20 associates have signed on to the pro bono effort.
Loren J. Sciurba, JD ’99, and Karen E. Gray, JD ’99, were married in October 2000 and have remained in the Washington area. Sciurba is counsel for the office of the inspector general of the postal service, and Gray joined the Reston, Va., office of Piper Rudnick.
