GW SUMMER ACADEMIC ENGLISH (SAE)
ARRIVE EARLY, GET A HEAD START ON SUCCESS!
The George Washinton University invites you to join other admitted international students
in a unique Summer Academic English (SAE) program that allows you to arrive early on campus
to get a head start on academic success at GW!
HEAD START:
1: an advantage granted or achieved at the beginning of a race, a chase, or a competion.
2: a favorable or promising beginning

TO GAIN A HEAD START...
Acclimate: Arrive early on campus, live in a residence hall with other GW students, get to know the university and the city.
Connect: Develop relationships with members of the GW community, including fellow students, faculty, advisors, administrators, and support offices on campus.
Succeed: Join GW's scholarly community, gain academic credit through coursework, upgrade English language skills, acquire critical skills for academic success.
Students participating in the SAE program will begin their first year at GW with a total of 7 academic credits, giving them a significant head start on the 120 credits required for graduation.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to the academic coursework, there will be opportunities to acquire English language skills for academic success, such as academic vocabulary development, critical reading skills, and discussion and presentation skills.
