Professor Peleg teaches Hebrew language, modern Hebrew literature and Israeli culture. He has also appeared as a commentator on National Public Radio's All Things Considered. He is author of Derech Gever: Homoeroticism in Hebrew Literature,1880-2000, Orientalism and the Hebrew Imagination and a co-author of a Hebrew text book, Brandeis Modern Hebrew. He has recently completed a monograph on Hebrew literature between the two intifadas. Professor Peleg is also the director of the GW Hebrew Program.
