Welcome to The George Washington University’s Institute
on Rehabilitation Issues (GW/IRI). The GW/IRI a collaborative
endeavor with the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation
Services Administration (RSA); Council of State Administrators
of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR); National Organization
of Rehabilitation Partners (NORP); and of course,
The George Washington University; and is funded in
part by the RSA Cooperative Agreement H264A980002-02D.
The Institute is located in Washington, DC at The
George Washington University’s Center for Rehabilitation
Counseling Research and Education.
The mission of the GW/IRI is to
provide quality training materials and continuing
education opportunities for vocational rehabilitation
professionals in order to maximize the quality of
services available for enhancing employment outcomes
for individuals with disabilities. This is accomplished
through the GW/IRI’s leadership in the National IRI
Forum and as a University Sponsor for an IRI Primary
Study Group (PSG).
This site will provide the following
information:
A brief history of the IRI at The George Washington
University;
The role of the Primary Study Groups;
The National IRI Forums;
The IRI Monographs; and
The IRI Study Courses, offering CRC continuing education.
